The Lectures will be held on Wednesday Evenings. They will commence at 6.30 pm and last approximately one hour. Both Members and Non-Members are welcome to attend. For each of the Lectures, the registration fee is £3 (Members) and £5 (Non-members).

Each year, The Society presents a FREE out-of-this world series of public lectures – in Birmingham! The 1999 ‘Worlds to Discover’ program takes a look at the worlds beyond our own and reveals how humanity is pushing back the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring the ‘final frontier’…

VENUES: Unless otherwise indicated, Lectures are by Andrew Lound of The Planetary Society and take place at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Chamberlain Square, Birmingham, from 2pm. Lectures are preceded by a round-up of current and future missions in ’Planetary News’.

êObserving Sessions take place in partnership with CENTRAL Sidewalk ASTRONOMERS, 9pm-11pm (2pm-5pm for Sun Observing) at Barr Beacon Lodge, Barr Beacon, off Beacon Road, Great Barr, Birmingham. Parking extremely limited at Barr Beacon Lodge – please book Observing in advance!
